MR7400 Bug: WiFi standby issue with apostrophe in SSID + Cellular tab only shows info in Cellular-only mode
I’m using a Netgear Nighthawk MR7400 (M7 Pro) and have run into two reproducible issues:
- WiFi Standby with Apostrophe in SSID
If I set my SSID to include an apostrophe (e.g. Hoff's Nighthawk), the WiFi goes into standby mode and will not turn back on.
WiFi is enabled, standby is set to Never, and broadcast SSID is on.
The only workaround is to remove the apostrophe from the SSID (e.g. HoffsNighthawk). - Cellular Tab Info Missing in Mixed Mode
In the web interface, the Cellular tab stays blank (no signal, SIM details, or network status) if WiFi + Cellular is enabled in Internet Options.
If I switch to Cellular-only mode, the tab populates correctly with all the details.
This suggests a UI/firmware bug when using mixed WiFi + Cellular mode.

Bugs on the MR7400 can be particularly frustrating when they affect connectivity or normal device management. It would be helpful to include the firmware version, exact symptoms, and whether the problems started after an update, since those details could help narrow down the cause.
I think I may be seeing something similar on my unit. The Cellular tab behavior is especially confusing since all the information appears correctly in Cellular-only mode but disappears when WiFi + Cellular is enabled. It definitely feels like a firmware/UI issue.
I have the same issue and removing the apostrophe fixes it.
Logging into the it via a PC allows you to use the apostrophe. Creating the SSID using the touchscreen on the nighthawk does not allow you to use an apostrophe as there is a limited keyboard.
