Nighthawk M1 / MR1100 Firmware Update (12.05.05) Failure

I tried to update the Firmware from my Nighthawk M1 Router from 12.04.02.00 to 12.05.05.00 and it failed.

I did the following:

Upload failed (Errorcode 13; no further explanation)

I also tried:

  • Netgear App is not working with current version of Firmware ("not able to connect to Router")
  • Firmware 12.05.05 is not detected through "autoupdate function"

Has anybody an idea how I can update the Firmware?

I'm guessing the update is not for the EUS versions.

When updating the router says the update is not intended for this device.

I went on the dutch website and there is an update "MR1100-100EUS_23113509_NTG9x50C_12.06.03.00_00_Generic_05.01.secc" and this one works.
You may wanna change the country of the support site (bottom of the page) your country or a logical country nearby (Belgium>>> Netherlands).

And indeed, the update from within the router doesnt work.

    Hi Christian1981

    Welcome to NETGEAR Community!

May I please know the exact model of your MR1100? Where did you purchase it?

Kindly try to log into the M1 Web UI using http://m.home/ and update the firmware.
