Nighthawk M1 MR1100 external antenna setup

Question

I've just connected a&nbsp;Panorama 3G 4G 4GX MiMo Antenna to my Nighthawk M1 MR1100 and just wondering if I need to go into the settings and tell it to use (look for) the external antenna now? I had a look around and can't seem to find it anywhere and the signal strength hasn't really improved.&nbsp;Thanks.

Remember to plug it into a wall adapter as soon as you connect external antennas. It uses a lot of power and will drain the battery completely in a few hours of heavy usage.

Do you connect the Nighthawk M1 MR1100 antenna directly to the M1 hotspot?
