Nighthawke M1 - have to reboot every couple of days

I have a Nighthawke M1 connected to a router/firewall via ethernet and have the M1 in bridge mode (or IP passthrough as Netgear seems to call it). All works well for a couple of days then it just stops responding. At this point, all WAN connectivity is down, you cannot access the web interface and the M1 will not even shutdown when holding the button. Strangely, the button does still respond to show alerts. You have to take the back off, remove the battery and power cable for a few seconds before it will reboot and start to function again.

As this router is mounted in the attic (cool temperatures before you ask), it is a real pain to have to get a ladder out to reset the thing!

Running the latest firmware ntg9x50c_10.20.05.00.

Already tried doing a factory reset, but the issue persists.

Almost at the point of sending this thing back. Useless as it is!

The issue really feels like a firmware problem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Kev.

Thanks for the reply. However, as per my 1st post, I’ve already performed a factory reset without success.

I have the same exact problem. I've had my modem/router for about a week and experience this same excat this twice. Oddly, I have to power cycle mine twice. As the first power cycle doesn't enable the ethernet port. I got this hoping it would be more reliable than my United Explore connected via usb, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Considering returning mine, not worth the $200.
