The M7 Pro device is unable to connect to the 5G network with the STC provider 2
My M7 Pro is unable to connect to 5G with STC service provider and only works on 4G in Saudi Arabia. We need a solution to this problem. We have contacted support and they have indicated that the issue is a technical problem with Netgear.
The problem existed in the M6 Pro and was resolved; we need a solution for the M7 Pro.
Model: M7 pro (#MR7400)
Firmware Version: NTGX75_10.04. 14.00
Software Version: MR7400-111EUS_00.08
Hardware Version: 10
PRI Version: 00.08
We need a solution

We are in a difficult situation regarding STC blocking Netgear modems, especially the M7 Pro version. We purchased and stocked large quantities, and we have now discovered that they do not operate on STC Saudi Arabia’s 5G network

We are experiencing a 5G blocking issue from STC.

We owned the m7 pro for months , but we can’t benefit from it, because of STC network in Saudi Arabia is blocking netgear modems. So, please find a solution to our issue.

The M7 Pro is not compatible with STC 5G network, which is completely unacceptable. I purchased this device specifically for 5G performance, yet it fails to connect to STC 5G, making the device extremely disappointing and practically useless for my needs.
There was no clear warning about this compatibility issue at the time of purchase. Selling a device that does not properly support major 5G networks like STC without clear disclosure is misleading to customers.
I strongly advise potential buyers to verify 5G band compatibility before purchasing, otherwise you may end up facing the same issue.
The company must provide an immediate and official solution—either through a firmware update or a clear statement regarding compatibility. If no solution exists, customers deserve transparency so they can switch to a brand that fully supports STC 5G.

This issue exists across all Netgear versions. The root cause of the problem lies with STC. It is unacceptable that technical support is unable to resolve the 5G blocking affecting Netgear devices

We are a group of customers based in Saudi Arabia, and we need to raise this issue clearly and firmly.
In Saudi Arabia, the primary and largest 5G provider is Saudi Telecom Company (STC). It is the main operator for 5G services in the country. Purchasing a premium device such as the Netgear Nighthawk M7 Pro (MR7400) for 500$ specifically for 5G performance, only to discover that it does not connect to STC’s 5G network, is completely unacceptable.
There was no clear and explicit warning at the time of purchase stating that the device is not compatible with STC 5G. Selling a flagship 5G device that does not properly support the largest 5G network in an entire country — without transparent disclosure — is misleading and unfair to customers.
We have already contacted STC, and their response was clear: the issue is not from their side and appears to be related to device compatibility or firmware configuration from Netgear.
This is not a minor inconvenience. Many of us invested significant money in this device based on its advertised 5G capabilities. A 5G router that cannot connect to the leading 5G operator in Saudi Arabia is, in practical terms, unusable for a large segment of customers here.
We are requesting an immediate and official response from Netgear:
- Is the M7 Pro (MR7400) officially compatible with STC 5G?
- If yes, when will a firmware/PRI update be released to resolve this issue?
- If not, why was this limitation not clearly disclosed before purchase?
If no solution is available, customers deserve full transparency so they can make informed decisions — whether that means returning the product or switching to a brand that fully supports STC 5G.
We expect a clear, technical, and official statement — not a generic support response.

"Please enable full 5G support for STC (Saudi Arabia) on the MR7400. The hardware supports the required bands (n78), but the current firmware/PRI restricts the connection. We urgently need an update to allow 5G usage internationally, similar to the M6 Pro."
