1G Copper SFP on M4300-8X8F Odd Behavior
I am having trouble with some 1G copper SFPs in a M4300-8X8F (XSM4316S) switch (I actually have two of these switches and both of them have the same problem with these SFPs) and was wondering if someone could give me some pointers.
The SFPs in question are not Netgear offical; they are a Fiberstore AGM734 Compatible model (https://www.fs.com/products/20753.html), but I believe that the issue may actually be some kind of a configuration issue on the switch and not the SFPs themselves. I am basing that off of the fact that I also have an M4300-52G which has a 10G SFP port and runs the exact same firmware as the M4300-8X8F in which the SFPs work flawlessly and the fact that Fiberstore swears up and down that these SFPs work with the M4300-8X8F in their lab and have already replaced the batch once (they sent us a customized batch without Loss Of Signal (LOS) support claiming that that would fix the issue we were having). On a side note, we purchased some 10G fiber SFPs from Fiberstore for that same switch and they work perfectly fine (https://www.fs.com/products/15493.html).
Here is what the 1G copper SFP does when we try to use it with a M4300-8X8F running firmware version 12.0.2.20 (which at the time of this writing is the newest version available). When a computer is connected to the SFP, the link light (orange for 1G) comes on for a few seconds and then the light goes off and the SFP appears to reset and then comes up for a few seconds again. This process repeats until I disconnect the wire. The computer connected to the SFP shows that the wire is being connected and disconnected. During the time when the link light is on, Wireshark shows traffic and I can occasionally get a few pings through to the management interface of the switch and get responses back (the port is configured as an access port on the managment VLAN).
I have tried every SFP port on two M4300-8X8Fs (they are in stacked configuration) with 20 different SFPs of this type (10 with LOS support and 10 without). I have tried the ports in access mode with VLANs on our general network and the seperate management network. I have tried setting the port to spanning tree edgeport mode, setting the speed to 1G (this was not actually possible; the only options I had under the speed command were 100M, 10G, and auto, but the datasheet clearly states that the SFP port supports 1G and is compatible with the AGM734 which is a 1G copper SFP, so I ended up just setting it to auto instead of the default 10G), and setting debounce to its maximum value of 5 seconds, all with no luck.
Has anyone ever seen anything like this? Thanks for your time.

Hi dentspen,
Welcome to the community!Could you please run below CLI command when you insert the fiber module?(assume the port 1/0/1)
show fiber-ports optics 1/0/1
show fiber-ports optics-info 1/0/1
show fiber-ports optics-eeprom 1/0/1
show running-config interface 1/0/1

I'm not sure if you wanted the information on the Copper SFP I am having problems with or the Fiber SFP+ that I mentioned, so I am going to provide the output for a port with a fiber SFP and a port with a copper SFP so that you can see both. I apologize for my confusion.
Port 1/0/1 (contains a 10G Fiber SFP+)
This is the type of SFP that DOES work

Hi dentspen,
Sorry to make you confusion.
I just want to get the info for the issue port. I mean please insert the fiber module and cable to the issue port, and then run the command to get the detailed info.
Thanks.
