Async Event MCAST Reported Failure

Hi All,

I am setting up a layer 3 network involving 1 distribution switch (m4300-24x24f) and 14 access switches (m4300-52g-poe+). I am having an issue one some of the distribution switch's uplinks to the distribution switch.

The issue exist on only 2 switches (lets call it switch A and switch B). If I bring up the two uplinks to the distribution switch on switch A they come up find. If I then bring up the two uplinks to the distribution switch on switch B we start to get link flapping on switch A between the two uplinks.

The logs show the following two errors:

- async event mcast reported failure

- event failure reason 2 for event interface disable

I am unsure what these logged events entail and was unable to find any similar issues online or in this forum. We have ruled out cable issues, patch panel issues and are not experiencing the same problems on any other switches.

Any help or suggestions would be great.
