Can I turn off EEE on a M4100?

Hello- Does anybody know if EEE (Energy Effecient Ethernet) can be disabled on the M4100?   Thanks

Hi JonCJohnson

 

Yes, you can disable EEE on M4100 Gigabit models.

 

You can refer to the Web GUI user manual page 51:  Select System  Management  Green Ethernet > Green Ethernet Configuration

  • Select the Auto Power Down Mode Disable or Enable radio button
  • Select the EE Mode Disable or Enable radio butto

Don't forget to Apply your settings (to update the running-config file), and then go Maintenance  Save Config in order to write the startup-config file (persistent after a reboot).
