Cannot update firmare nor download config on GS724TPv2

Hi, I'm trying to download the configuration off of my 7 GS724TPv2, but the download hangs for a few seconds, then the file is saved with no error, but it contains this :

<HTML><HEAD><TITLE>Error Msg</TITLE>
<META http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html">
<LINK rel="stylesheet" href="/mypage.css" type="text/css"></head><BODY>
<TABLE align=center cellpadding=3 cellspacing=0 border=0 width=95%><br>
</TABLE><TABLE align=center cellpadding=3 cellspacing=0 border=0 width=95%>
<TR align=left><TH background="/line.gif"><H2>Error Msg</H2></TH>
</TR></TABLE><P><TABLE align=center cellpadding=4 cellspacing=2 border=0 width=95%><TR><TH>
Please try again later!<BR><a href="/http_file_upload.asp">Go Back</a></table></body></HTML>

That being said, I told myself that this could probably be fixed with a firmware upgrade, but the firmware takes forever to complet and it doesnt show at all under the archive 2 file.

Any help appart from suggesting a factory reset ?

    Hi itdept_demers,

    Welcome to our community! :)

    It seems that you were having hard time to backup the configuration file of your switch. Have you tried to use the TFTP Upload? You may try to use TFTP32. Please check the manual on page 293.

    Regards,

      I'm not trying to do this desperately, but I am looking to own a swith with functionnal features. Providing me with an alternative way to do a backup does not provide confidence in your product. So, appart from the TFTP method, which I don't have time to fiddle with, do you have a solution to fix the HTTP issues I'm having with both the backup of the configuration and the inability to upgrade the firmware ?
      Thank you!
