Cascading Switches
How is it, that I can connect a managed switch (GS105PE) into another managed switch (GS728-PE), and not be able to reach the first one? But only when I plug another device into the first switch.

Hi Quantumn,
You mean that there are multiple devices connected to the GS105PE, but, when you connect a device to port 3, the data is not passing through anymore. Is that correct? Does the switch turns off if there is a device connected to port 3?

What kind of device is plugged there to the port - could this be something creating a network loop ie. over a concurrently active wireless connection? What I have in mind is (for example) a SONOS device.
- QuantumnMay 01, 2018AspirantI've found that the reason this is happening is I was mirroring port 3 to port 5. When I turned off mirroring this stopped. But still, control of the switch through the web interface comes and goes. More often than not when I try to change a setting, the page times out. This happens whether the switch is powered from a PoE injector, or from my big switch.
