Connecting ISP to SFP port
Hello
I am trying to set up an Fiber ISP connection to the SFP port on our switch, I am not getting an account/link LED staus on either ports. Are these auto sensing ports are do they need to be set up with the ISP static IP address?
Thanks

- schumakuGuru - Experienced UserFiber and SFP is and was never autonegotiating. What SFP module is provided by the ISP exactly? For 1G they often use 1.25G, for 2G they often use 2.5G - link speeds the SFP garages can't make.
Does your ISP provide plain TCP/IP wit a complete subnet? If not ..figure.
Even a L2/3 switch can't act as a NAT router, does not have an IP address on a port...- DonavanVInitiate
That makes complete sense- is there way to use the switch as a pass through to a SonicWall firewall since the firewall does not have an SPF port on it?
Thank you again!
