I am looking at a similar think at the moment. Just a few notes that I have found. There are two generations of 10Gb in the netgear lineup that arent immediately apparent. Firstly the XS708E and XS712T are first gen devices. As are the GS728TS and GS752TS. The second gen devices are XS708T and XS716T (and the 24/48 too), plus the S3300 range are newer. I would discount the XS712T personally based on the featureset (ip6 routing if you need such a thing)
