Can you try the default username and password? Also you can try to factory reset a couple times, maybe that might free it from this condition.
Try doing the hold the reset in power on 30 secs, power off. Do this for 3 times then try the interface again.
If nothing then contact support to see if you can RMA the device through my.netgear.com.

Hi Alex,
Thanks for the advice... to make a long story short, i cycled the power and the device is now bricked regardless of how many times or how long I press the reset button.
