Hello, I solved the issue. I feel really stupid. When I checked the IP address settings on the PC's net adapter I noticed they were static. For the life of me I do not remember changing that from allowing a DHCP server to provide them. Must be my oldmanitis kicking in. Should have been the first thing i checked.
Sorry to have wasted your time. The switch is working fine now!
