GS108T rate limiting layout.

OK, i get always stuck with thinking because for soem reason my idea must create a loop.I have have now some setup using 2 networks with 2 ip ranges and one network use static ip's, and windows dont like that setup compleet to. I hope i can explain it clear.

Trying to find solution for the following setup or somewthing that can do it..



The problem is, my desktop need a lower speed the servers need a different speed but lower then the maximum speed my connection have. That way you dont get lag. That.
But my fileserver need to be accessable from all system, because backups. thats also reason why i wnat to l;imit to speed to 800Mbit, that way i dont jam the network and get lag.

but you see a triangle, and thats the problem, you create a loop. where thinking of useing ACL. but its new foir me, and when i configure things i lock mttself out on the port compleet :O and still supsect thats not working to.

Why does the GS108T not have rate limiting by mac adress ? that would be super.
Or wich not to expensive device can do rate limiting by mac. hmm thats failing to, i think you need a source mac -> destination Mac rate limiting for the setup.

Well you see, compleet stuck, still want to a single network. but need to have option to
have rate limiting for every device thats going to the router. and seperate for the fileserver.
