GS116E v2 and FreeBox

Hello,

 

I have a GS116Ev2 switch and I would like have internet with him but I don't know why, it's not works...

 

I have a computer with IP address 192.168.1.1 (gateway 192.168.1.254, my ADSL box) connected on my switch (IP 192.168.1.24, gateway 192.168.1.254) and when I trayed to ping my box (192.168.1.254), impossible...

 

If I turn ON my Wifi on my computer (192.168.1.2 and gateway 192.168.1.254), all is fine...

 

Why ? VLAN ?

    Welcome to the community! :) 

     

    Kindly answer the questions below:

     

    a. Is the Freebox a modem-only device or a combination of modem and router?

    b. If you connect your computer directly to the Freebox, can you access the internet just fine? 

    c. You mentioned that when you turned-on the WiFi on your computer, all is fine.  Is the Freebox a wireless router? 

    d. What is the behavior of the LED lights on the GS116Ev2 switch while its connected to your computer as well as to the Freebox? 

    e. Is the IP address 192.168.1.24 a static IP address you set on the GS116Ev2?
