GS308E vs. GS108-400 NAS

As you correctly state the FVS318 are complete VPN routers with a fast Ethernet LAN switch. Cna just guess how mutiple FVS318 used to be configured and plugged.
None of the two models listed are managed switches.
The GS108-400NAS is a non-managed GbE switch, the GS308E is a Web-configurable Plus switch. Another difference could be the warratny span.

Hmm. Under "Plus Managed Network Switches" Netgear's website shows this:
GS108-400 NAS is not shown on the Netgear site as far as I can tell, but is being sold widely. You are right: not a managed switch.

GS108E limited lifetime warranty, 2 years for power supply
GS308E 5 years warranty, except Chine with 1 year - these are offered to different sales channels, and priced differently therefore.
