GS308T Firmware Update does not complete

I am attempting to update firmware for a GS308T from 1.0.2.2 to 1.0.3.2 via http using GS308T_GS310TP_V1.0.3.2.bix.

It just sits there forever saying "File transfer in progress".

Initially the http login was timing out, but I have now set it to 60 mins.

I've tried it both Edge and Chrome browsers from Win 10 - both with the same result.

Any ideas?

    Have you tried using the Smart Control Center (SCC) as well to upgrade the switch's firmware?

    If not, please download the application here.

     

    You may also refer to this KB article on how to upgrade the firmware using SCC.

      Tried latest version of SCC (which I note has been discontinued), from Win 10 directly connect to the switch with firewall disabled.

      Nothing happens, and yes I did tick the run now box..  Attempted multiple times.  SCC reports status as "File transfer timeout".

      Can ping the switch's IP address OK (static IP address 192.168.201.90)

        Managed to get switch to update after resorting to factory defaulting it - hardly ideal.
