gss116E Disable Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) and forward Bridge Protocol Data Units (BPDUs)
Google recommends that I disable Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) and forward Bridge Protocol Data Units (BPDUs) when STP is disabled when I use a switch with their Google Nest WiFi Pro Router. However, I cannot find the settings for this in the GSS116E admin panel. Is it possible those features are not in the switch, or are known under another name. They do recommend using an unmanaged switch, but if I can find those features and disable them that would be better.

The GSS116E is - like every other Netgear Plus switch (despite the misleding marketing designation) not a managed switch, and it does not have any STP (Spanning Tree) functionality.
Sid that: Since this switch is in no apsect a Managed Switch class product, I'll challenge a moderator to move this thred to the more appropriate Plus and Smart Switches Forum to discuss Smart Switches (T) and Plus Switches (E), including Local and Remote Management.

No experienced network admin would ever disble STP while keeping BPDUs forwarded, except for troubleshooting or experimenting.
Are you having a real issue or just attempt to follow some extremely generic and misleading advise?

I was following advice from Google's site where they explain how to make your Google Pro WiFi your primary router so you can backhaul the points to your network. I admit I'm not as experienced as you are, but I did get everything working. My assumption was that if I could log into a router interface that it was considered managed. But since my router does not have the features I was looking to disable, per Google's instructions, sounds like I'm all good.
