i keep reading about alot off issues with GS748T
Should i go with a different switch? i would like to delve into managed switches, and wire as many devices as possible in my home. I have a cax80 and just purchased a rs700 or should i just go unmanaged?

I keep reading posts here, of community members which have no plan what they really need, why, and what for, apparently idea shopping, without providing any background information allowing to provide an answer. Instead, we find posts with kind of a variable and undefined target.
Talking of one designation, Netgear is offering amazing switch models for more than 20 years, all named GS748T. About six are Smart Managed switches, some come with more advanced features like stacking, and in the early days even routing.
