invert VLAN id 2 with VLAN id 1
One years ago I configure three M4300 Switch with Ip address and single VLAN ID 1.
Now I need to connect those switch with other 6 switches through miniGBIC that having 2 different VLAN ID with Different ip addresses.
To avoid to change the configuration of 6 switches, I would add a second VLAN ID into netgear switches, but it will became the default VLAN ID 1 and the actual will be VLAN ID 2. Obviously, the primary IP Address will be the IP Address in the same subnet of the other 6 switches. Which is the correct way to change the configuration that has less impact on actual configuration?
Should I do this procedure through network cable or I need to do it through management interface?
Best Regards

Welcome to the community! 🙂
I think its possible to do it either via CLI or via its web-GUI. It would be best that you do the procedure during non-production hours. Be sure that you also back up the current configuration just in case.
