Limited number of IPv6 NDP entries
When I configure SDM to use dual-stack (IPv4 and IPv6), I do expect to use both.
However, at least with firmware 11.0.0.31, I get this limits:

Retired_Member, thanks for your answer. However, I'm still confuse. You mentinoned "maximum 'ARP/NDP' counter is 5120;" but table shows ARP as "4096" and NPD as "1024". You say that they share a common limit of 5120 (4096+1024)? Aren't they independently managed or NPD can borrow entries from ARP?

No, not share the table size. Just independent for v4 and v6, 4096 ARP table and 1024 NDP table.

Sorry Retired_Member, but I my questions are still open:
What will happen when "IPv6 NDP Entries" is exausted?
Now I have 4096 (ARP) and 1024 (NDP) entries while specs says I have "6K ARP/NDP". Are specs wrongs? Have it changed without metioning in firmware changelogs?

Hi luizluca,
It's just different understanding. Actually, SPEC describe the maximum 6k APR/NDP entries, just meaning supported in specific SDM template. It's not meaning will support total 6K ARP/NDP entries in every SDM template.
Hope it can helps!

The division 4k for ipv4 and 1k for ipv6 does not work with a real world dual stack env. While a device normally use one ipv4 address, ipv6 uses at least two (Link-local and global) or more if privacy extension is enabled (it is by default on most OSs). So, you can use 4k ipv4 devices but only less than 512 ipv6 devices or less. It only works when ipv6 restricted to a subnet (like servers), not the whole network.
There should be a template for real ipv4/ipv6 that have ARP = NDP/2, not support for eight times less ipv6 devices than ipv4.
