Thanks for the info.
I have followed the steps exactly (with my collector IP & index #)
Still no joy of having any data show up in PRTG V23.4.90.1299
The Receiver timeout counts down to zero and then the configuration is gone from the Receiver Configuration.
What is the sFlow version in the Netgear M4100 series switches?
What is the PRTG sFlow version?
Are these 2 sFlow versions compatible?
Any other suggestions?

Hi nsskyetech,
The sFlow agent version on NETGEAR managed switches is v1.3 while I believe PRTG only supports sFlow version 5.
Have a lovely day,

According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SFlow
There is only v1 to v5. There is no v1.3. So which version does the Netgear M4100 series switch support.
PRTG only support v5 and it seems to not do any backward compatability.
Any other comments?

There seems to be a lot of confusion in the sFlow nomenclature here, there, and everywhere. The often cited v1.3 is the sFlow agent version (merci LaurentMa 2019), very common in the HP, Broadcom, and Netgear world. The v5 is the (one and only) datagram this agent can and will send to the sFlow receiver (aka. sFlow collector). Head to the Configure sFlow Receiver (where you define IP address of the sFlow router or collector), and you will find the Datagram Version 5 (fixed!).
Network admins new to the sFlow system on Netgear can start here: What is sFlow and how does it work with my managed switch? ... this applies to all Netgear Managed Switches (M4100, M4300, M4250, M4350, M7100, ...).
Nice to have old men knowing either more old man at Broadcom and HPE 8-)
