Can't find any complete specs of this 828LM LiftMaster Internet Gateway. They only talk of "Ethernet". In case this is a simple 10 Mb/s Ethernet port (plenty of performance for a door opener), the M4300-16X (XSM4316PA) does support Fast Ethernet (100 Mb/s) and up, classic 10 Mb/s Ethernet won't bring up a link. This is fine on the Orbi however if I have it right. I'd suggest to try a simple small non-managed switch in between the M4300 and the LiftMaster for a test or work-around.

Hi,
I plugged an old netgear GS108 10/100 mb switch into the same switch port on my M4300 that wasn't activating for the 828LM device. The port lit up instantly. I then plugged the 828LM device into the GS108 and it connected at 10 mb/s and started working right away. It's great to have it working, but it's disappointing to need a second "lesser" switch to make it work. Thank you for th quick solution. I wish I could make one of the ports on my M4300 work at 10 MB/S and not need to run a second switch.
Best Regards,
Matt

The GS108 is a Gigabit with 100 and 10 Mb capability FWIW.
Depending on cost, 10Gb Ethernet and 10G/MultiGig devices often don't come with 10 Mb/s (extremely niche) or even not with 10 and 100 Mb/s PHY. Its really not worth the additional cost for a virtually "dead" technology version.
