M4300-52G-PoE+ and UWB-XG
Can a M4300-52G-PoE+ Ethernet port power a Unifi BaseStationXG (UWB-XG)? The UWB-XG maximum needed wattage for the UWB-XG is 31w (source: Quick Start Guide). It also requires 802.3bt, but it's the po...

We tested it anyhow and it does in fact power the BaseStationXG, but like you also mentioned won't meet the maximum power requirement. We will use the included PoE injector with the XG to compensate. Thank you for the alternate suggestions for powering the switch.

Hello HolmesNetworks,
The power available to the powered device (PD) for PoE+ (802.3at) is 12.95W-25.5W while PoE++ (802.3bt) is 25.5W-51W. Since the UWB-XG requires 31W the PoE+ would not be enough. It needs PoE++ (802.3bt) which the M4300-52G-PoE+ does not support.
Some of NETGEAR L3 switches that supports PoE++ are M4250-40G8XF-PoE++(GSM4248UX), M4350-48G4XF(GSM4352)and M4350-44M4X4V(MSM4352). For the whole list you can check the link below:

Hello HolmesNetworks,
Please disregard the M4350-48G4XF(GSM4352) as it only supports PoE+ (802.3at). The other two I mentioned does support PoE++ (802.3bt). Thank schumaku for pointing that out.
