    Hi Netbridge-Brian ,

I am very sorry about that... Are you using telnet/ssh? We might very well need serial/USB connection for it to work.

Do you have Serial RJ45 RS232 adapter handy? If so, please connect it to the console port, and use a DB9 to USB RS232 adapter to connect to your PC (so that you get a COM port to use in your TeraTerm or Putty.

If not, please reach out to ProAVDesign@netgear.com (just send us an email with a link to this thread) and one of our SEs will come back to you shortly.

    Thank you, Laurent

    Hi Netbridge-Brian ,

Did you backup your configuration? The method below is deleting the startup config to return in factory-default mode:

    1. Start the switch normally, then once you are prompted to "User:" press "ctrl+z". This will take you to the M4500 Menu
    2. When prompted with "Enter your menu option:", enter "b"
    3. Type "sudo bash"
    4. Type "qnos-mgmt -c" and confirm (this will clear the saved startup config)
    5. Type "exit" to exit bash, then "exit" again, this takes you back to the M4500 menu
    6. reboot the switch by typing "4"
    7. Switch is now on default configuration, with user admin and no password, you will then be prompted to enter a new password

    Please let us know!

    Regards, Laurent

      Hi Laurent

I tried this method, but after I type "b" and press enter, it only returns me to the M4500 menu, or pressing q during startup does not enter any mode. Is there any other way?
