Hi,
Your assumption is correct. A trunk port will carry all the traffic, from the various VLANs, across to the next switch/router. Therefore, trunks/uplinks are always the most busy links in the network.
Looking at the port LEDs blinking will give an indication of how busy the port is. If you want to see a more detailed breakdown of the traffic, per port, then log into the Web GUI and navigate to: "Monitoring" --> "Ports" --> "Port Statistics".
