Netgear GS108PE - Port blinking without cable, no network connection

Hello

I am using the Netgear GS108PEv3.
The switch runs 24/7.
The connection of the switch hangs 2-3 times a year.
Sometimes only on one port, like just now.
Even after unplugging the network cable, the port LED continues to flash even though no cable is plugged in and no data is being transmitted.

The solution is very simple, remove power, restart the switch.

I have never experienced anything like this before.

How can it be that a port lights up even though no network cable is plugged in?

Does anyone know of an 8-port POE switch that runs 24/7 and does not cause any problems?
Does anyone know of a switch where you could set up an automatic restart?
e.g. on Sunday?

Regards Int3g3rw

A possible answer to this is that the switch does detect a loop condition.

You might consider to disable this nice, simple and effective function.

Yes, this will certainly clear the detected loop.

The GS108PE is a Plus switch, and not a Fully Managed Switch, I'll suggest a moderator to move this thread to the Plus And Smart Switches Forum to discuss Smart Switches (T) and Plus Switches (E), including Local and Remote Management models.
