Prosafe M7300-24XF factory reset

Hi all, I have a new Prosafe M7300-24XF switch that I have accidentally misconfigured and I need to reset it to factory defaults. I understand from another post that there is no reste button, frustratingly. So what cable do I need to connect this switch to a laptop so I can reset it using a terminal emulator?

Thanks

    Hi sparrow_hawk,

    Welcome to the community! :)

As per page 9 of the M7300-24XF (XSM7224S) Hardware Installation Guide here, it says that the M7300-24XF package includes a USB-to-serial converter.  Kindly check the package contents of your M7300-24XF switch.

If ever you cannot find the USB-to-serial converter that came with your M7300-24XF switch, you may use any working USB-to-serial converter.

    Regards,

Hi DaneA, I don't have the original cable I'm afraid. The one I ordered from Amazon has a male DB9 connector, as do most similar cables it seems. But the switch has a male DB9 port on the front panel, so I would require female cable or can I use a gender changer? Thanks.
