Prosafe plus Utility & GS116Ev2

Have decided the time was right to check the firmware versions for all my devices. Downloaded Prosafe Plus config util V 2.2.9 from netgear. It sees my two GS116E's but when I: Select a switch...

Hello mbkitmgr3,

I don't think the version of the utility is correct. Latest version I see is 2.3.19. Can you try this version?

Thanks AlexPe.

Was able to connect and log into the Switches via the util

Tried to use the util to upgrade the firmware and it fails

Title Firmware Upgrade

Firmware Upgrade Failed

Logged in
Rebooted device
Re-connected via Prosafe Plus Config Util
Went to Maintenance>Firmware Upgrade
Selected Firmware file extracted from the zip file (GS116E-v1.00.21.flash)
Software after about 30 seconds reports firmware upgrade failed

I repeated the process with the other GS116E that I have and the results are identical.

I logged into the Switch via a browser and tried to repeat the process, says "not a lvalid firmware image'

Have also tried with Firmware update v1.00.20

Hi Mbkitmgr3

I think your device is GS116Ev2 right?
But the firmware (v1.00.20) just you tried is for GS116E not yours(GS116Ev2).
It's too similar for these two switches.:smileywink:

So could you please try the correct firmware on your GS116Ev2.:smileyhappy:
