Prosafe utility

No I am using the built-in windows defender only, but when you mentioned the firewall I temporarily disabled the "private" but the "public" was on and our beloved prosafe utility worked :)
I checked the firewall rules and "prosafe plus utility", "netgearserver" and "nsdpmanager" are applied to the private network.
It seems "SNMP Trap" needs to be applied to the private network too for it to work.
I un-installed and re-installed the utility but the SNMP Trap was not added.
I am running latest win 8.1
