Restart of Switch
Hello,
my company use M4300-52G ProSAFE 48-port 1G and 2-port 10GBASE-T and 2-port 10G SFP+ switches. I have now following issue or question.
One of our switches has an uptime from 273 days.(Harry) The other one 1 day (Sally).
The question is why would Sally reset the up time, when there was no electrical blackout? Did the switch restarted by itself? Why do i know have problems to get DHCP Adresses, but the day before there were no issues?
If you need more Informations don't hesitate to ask me.
Thanks for your help

Hi HolzbauerSN,
Welcome to our community! :)
Maybe it did restart the switch automatically. May you be able to check the logs so that we may know what seems to be causing that issue?

Thanks! I found out that it did restart once due to inconsistent state also it did fails to read conflicting ARP packet from stack before the reboot. It didn't say anything much the cause of the reboot. If you have a loop, you can disconnect it first and then monitor.
