secondary switch routing mode question
Hello
Our main switch is a gsm7352sv2 set up in routing mode.
the 7353 will connect to a 7224 .
so 100 feet away there will be gsm7224 with 5 vlan switches and other wires attached. I am doing the initial set up after running 'clear config'
My question - should 'Routing Mode' be enabled or not?
Hi robfantini
If the routing is done in the GSM7352v2 you don't need to enable routing on the GSM7224, however you need to make sure that you set tag all the vlans required on the uplink to the GSM7352Sv2.
Moreover if you expect that the inter-vlan traffic will be huge on the gsm7224 area I would suggest that you set up also routing on the GSM72242v2 but that will require an IP address planning .
Hope it helps!

Xavier: thank you for the very fast response!
No routing and tagged vlans will be done.
