Setting DHCP Option(s) Problems on GSM7224P
I have several GSM7224P switches running firmware 10.0.1.21
I need to have the switches hand out IP and various options for my phone system to work.
I am hoping someone else has seen this or knows a way to fix this.
I am unable to add option 42 (NTP server) to my DHCP scopes
I have tried it via the web gui and cli
In the GUI I get an error that says Error! Failed to Add Option Code
In the CLI I get an error that says “ Couldn’t create option row “
On the GUI option I go into DHCP Server -> DHCP Pool Options
I select the:
POOL Name: Voice
Option Code: 42
Option Type: IP Address
Option Value: 10.1.1.12
In the CLI
Enable – config -> config
ip dhcp pool Voice
option 42 ip 10.1.1.12
I started trying other options and I got the same error adding
Option 5,6,7,15
I am able to add various other options via CLI
The web interface only allows you to enter 15 characters - *** nice bug ***
option 156 ascii ftpservers=10.1.1.10,country=1,language=1,layer2tagging=1,vlanid=129
option 43 ascii id:ipphone.mitel.com;sw_tftp=10.1.1.2;call_srv=10.1.1.2;vlan=129;l2p=6;dscp=46

- I am curious, does anyone from Netgear look at these forums?
I have had a support ticket open since 9/6 and cant get a response on this issue.
I am told they are looking into it and they are sorry for the inconvenience.

I am suffering the same problem. Both the option 42 doesn't work and I am not able to insert long options of DHCP on the web GUI.
