Switch Cable Question
Hi There,
I currently have two S3300's clustered that i am going to break (the cluster not the switches :)
I need to know whether the cluster cable i am currently using can be used as an uplink cable between one of the 3300's and a 10G XS712T?
If this is not possible could you please advise which uplink cable is best in this situation? I want it to run at 10G between the switches (realising that 3300 is 1G).
A quick response would be much appreciated
Kind Regards :)

Hi,
Not sure what should be so special on the current cable used for clustering. Each S3300 has two 10GBase-T and two SFP+ ports - where each can be used either for clustering or for trunking. By rule of thumb, this is either a CAT6A or better RJ45 cable, or an SFP+ DAC cable. Very likely these can be used for a normal 10 GbE connection from an S3300 to an XS712T(v2).To my knowledge, the XS7xxT switches are not picky on SFP+ module IDs - so "any" SFP+ module (or DAC) can be used btw.
