adding a port to an existing VLAN
I'm having trouble adding additional ports to an existing VLAN. If I create the VLAN using the routing wizard, selecting the ports from Unit 1, it works. But if I subsequently want to add a port to that VLAN by going to Switching -> VLAN -> Advanced -> VLAN membership, the change doesn't seem to take effect. Is there another step I need to be taking? Thanks for any help.

The PVID is the VLAN ID incoming untagged packets are associated to. And this must be one of the VLAN ID(s) configured on the port.
- When changing the VLAN for a port, say from VLAN ID 10 to VLAN ID 20, first change the PVID to the new VLAN ID #, then change the VLAN ID.
- When removing a VLAN ID from a trunk port with tagged (and one untagged), and this VLAN ID is set as the PVID, first first change the PVID to one of the future tagged or the untgged VLAN ID #, then remove the the VLAN ID.

So it seems you have to go to Switching -> VLAN -> Advanced - Port PVID Configuration and set the Configured PVID to the ID of the VLAN. Just changing the port in VLAN Membership only did half the job.
