GS105Ev2 220v Conversion
I have 4 Netgear GS105Ev2 managed switches I was looking to place above our firewalls in our data centers but our data centers only support 220v power. What are my options for getting these switches ...
Any device coming with IEC320 C13 (or C18 for large system) power inlets, spec'd for using on 100...240V AC, and coming with the local correct regulatory markings (like the UL marks for US market) can be operated on the popular rack- or cabinet-based PDUs.
These basic switches with the external power supplies for North American outlets are intended to be operated from utility power aka. wall outlets only..
Of course, you should deploy these in pairs to configure redundant or HA systems, so powered from different circuits, especially where redundant UPS systems are available.
Last but not least, I would not suggest to deploy unmanaged or Plus configurable in security sensitive environments around firewalls. Minimum would be Smart Managed, better fully managed models only.
So these switches are managed and I have them set to act as a pair for HA like structure, I have them set to only be accessible from a small list of public IP's that are part of our network with a crazy PW on each of them, but the power thing is a killer. I've attached a picture here of one of them since they are all identical models, is there anything I can get that would enable me to plug these guys into 220v power? Our data center offers no other options for power. Thank you for your time. 🙂

Still not a managed switch, even if you insist. Configurable up to some point.
Show the switch config and the "HA like" structure. Anything like VRRP configured for both IPv4 and IPv6 on these firewalls/routers?

The power part is easy to remedy - install appropriate power supplies supporting 220V AC +/- 10% or so - and able to provide 12 V AC 1 A DC. might be not easy to find e.g. in the US with UL label.
Yeah so the power part is the whole problem, can anyone here speak for a product I could buy off Amazon(or anywhere in US really) that would do 220V AC +/- 10% to 12 V AC 1 A DC?
