Thanks for your replies.
Both devices have shipped today and I have just set up a simple test.
Before I go into further details: my plan works! :smileyhappy:
Regarding your statements:
- a: I do of course understand the limitations in bandwith / speed.
- I gladly take this drawback for the added convenience
- Originally, I simply wanted to run one cable from point A to B - these switches are meant to be for future additions / serviceability
- b: At the moment: 1 PC.
- c: No - the added devices won't need PoE.
Here is a quick photo of my tests (I got full Gigabit speed on either of the switches):

Router <-GbE-> PoE+ injector <-GbE/PoE Plus 25.5W-> GS105PE <-PoE Class0/3 15.5W-> GS105PE
Never tried - shoud be workable in my opinion. No spare GS105PE at hand for a test I'm afraid.
