gs308epp vs gs310tp Which one is better?
Hello can you please help me decipher which one is best?
apart from the obvious extra ports...

It depends on your application.
Hardware:
GS308EPP has 8 PoE+ ports with total 123W PoE budget, no SFP ports for uplink.
GS310TP has 8 PoE+ ports with total 55W PoE budget, and 2 SFP uplink ports.
Software:
GS308EPP is a Plus switch, which has VLAN, QoS, IEEE Energy Efficient Ethernet, Port Mirroring, and advanced PoE controls including PoE scheduling and per port PoE control, etc.
GS310TP is a Smart switch, which has all the Plus switch features + ACL, advanced VLAN, IGMP snooping, STP, SNMP, etc.
