GS316EP VLAN Configuration
I'm looking at purchasing a GS316EP.
Please could somebody confirm if it is possible to configure certain ports to be only able to send & receive to certain other, which can in turn send & receive from lots of different ports. I'm sure it can be configured using a mix of VLAN / Tagged / Untagged / PVID, but would bee good to have it confirmed before purchasing.
This is an example of something like what I'm wishing to acheive:
Port 1 to 8: send & receive from Port 14 & 16
Port 9 to 12: send & receive from Port 13, 14 & 16
Port 13: send & receive from ports 9 to 12, 14 & 16
Port 14: send & receive to ports 1 to 13 & 16
Port 15: send & receive to port 16
Port 16: send & receive to all other ports
Hope that makes sense!
Thanks,
Gareth
Many thanks for the response.
I had a look at the 'Advanced Port-Based VLAN' in the mannual as you suggested and it appears the solution to my setup is pretty straight forward.
I guess you just need to know where to look!
Thanks again,
Gareth

Welcome to the community! 🙂
You can achieve your goal by implementing Advanced Port-Based VLAN on the GS316EP. With Advanced Port-Based VLAN, one port can be a member of multiple VLANs.
To learn more, kindly read pages 39-42 of the GS316EP user manual here about Advanced Port-Based VLAN.
