I was wishing for encrypted and authenticated trap messages.

Have managed to contact Netgear support about the configuration loss issue, e.g. via https://my.netgear.com?
"Wishing" is nice - however we talk of a switch on a port cost of something slightly above of 5 USD. What is the business case here? The Smart Managed Pro are by specs single user devices - no multi-user administration et all.

Well, I purchased the unit based on the Datasheets stating "SNMP v3 with multiple IP addresses"
But is does not support SNMP v3 for TRAPs.
FYI. SNMP v3 means SNMPv2 with encryption.
