Hey schumaku
Thank you for replying.

Can you rephase the question? I don't quite understand what you're asking.
schumaku wrote:Beyond of the connected WAX214v2, does the switch work normally for other connected systems and devices?
Yes, I have a couple of computers connected to the switch without any problems.
schumaku wrote:Using a simple network patch cord (patch cable) for connecting the AP, or is there more infrastructure (like installed network wiring in the house) involved?
I've done both to try to troubleshoot this issue. I get the same results, just doesn't work.
schumaku wrote:Can reach the GS728TPP Web UI from other computers on the LAN, or from wireless devices connecting to the router Wi-Fi (if any)?
I can access the GS728TPP Web UI through wired device connected to it. It doesn't work if I try to go through the AP with a wireless device. Pings to the switch from the AP sometimes go through and sometimes get lost.
Thank you,

The WAX214v2 is operating with it's default config, so no management VLAN and no VLAN(s) configured? As you say it works right away when connected direct to the router I guess it is.
Is the AP PoE powered, or powered using it's external power supply?
What shows the switch Web UI related to the AP and/or the uplink between the switch and the router?

That's correct, both the AP and switch is default factory reset, so on the AP VLAN is disabled and the switch is whatever the default setting is.

I tried both PoE powered and external power supply to troubleshoot and both have the same issue.

Not sure what you're asking for... but I can get screenshots if you can direct me to the correct page of the switch web UIPort 1: Router, Port 2: Computer, Port 3: AP
