How to enable Jumbo Frames on GS116Ev2?

Hello,
I have a new GS116Ev2.
It came with the latest firmware installed (v2.0.1.26).
I am trying to enable Jumbo Frames.
I can not find the setting either in the Web interface or in the ProSafe Plus Utility (v2.3.20).
Ho do I set the Maximum Frame Size to 9216 (as I can do with cheaper Netgear products)?

Thanks!

    Hi BobGear,

    Welcome to Netgear Community!

For Jumbo Frame Size, we did doc in product data sheet (Jumbo Frame Support: Up to 9K packet size), it's enable by default and can't be modified. Also can't view it from Web GUI or Prosafe Utility tool. Btw, GS116Ev2 is a Web-Managed plus switch, didn't support to manage via telnet or SSH.

Let's know if you have further query, thanks.

      Thanks, Bruce_G.

      Good answers.

I still ponder if "Up to 9K" means that the maximum is 9215 or 9216 bytes?  Noted that ElaineP says 9216 bytes.

Although it doesn't matter as I will run my ethernet adapters at 9000 bytes MTU.

Thanks again for answering all of my questions.

      Bob

Hi ElaineP, Thank you for the detail that the Maximum Frame Size is set to 9216. Very much appreciated. You may wish to document this somewhere. Thanks again, Bob

    HI BroGear,

    Welcome to our community,

Normally when the option is not available in our GUI is due to that by default the jumbo frames are enabled.  That's the same case as our Unmanaged switches where we support Jumbo frames but you don't need to conifgure it.

Are you seeing any packet drops using frame sizes over 1500 ?

    Regards

Hi XavierLL, I have not installed the switch yet, just getting it configured. What if I telnet or SSH into the switch, can I view the setting then? Thanks a bunch! Bob
