JGS524PE - What is my actual PoE consumption ?

Hi there, I have a JGS524PE with at current 3 IP cameras connected and using PoE, and would like to add some more cameras.

Is there a way to know how much PoE I already use ?

I see that the max budget on the 12 ports is 100 watts, I am not sure if there is a max consumption allowed per port, nor to check how much I consume for the moment ?

Many thanks !!

I'm afraid to inform you that there is no way to monitor the  actual PoE consumption "live."  However, you may want to post this concern as feature request to the Idea Exchange for Business board here.  In this way, the development team can see what feature does the JGS524PE switch users like you wanted to be added to the functionality of the product.

    Hi fa355115,

    Welcome to the community! :)

The PoE consumption of the JGS524PE depends on the following:

    a. PoE load

    b. number of PD (Powered Devices) connected

    c. length of the ethernet cable being used because the JGS524PE supports 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) function

Considering only the power consumption of the JSG524PE, it is expected to be 6W.

What is the PoE Class of your 3 IP cameras?

Here are the different PoE classes:
