JGS524PE password reset loop

I lost the password for my JGS524PE switch.  After I pressed the reset button for 30 seconds, entered the default password "password", the Change Admin Password gui pops up.  No matter what password I enter I keep getting the "Change Admin Password" reset GUI popping up. 

 

I have tried more times than I can count to enter a proper password according to the screen directions but no matter what combination of letters and numbers I use, when I click the Change Password button the same screen returns demanding I set up a new Admin password.  Its like Groundhog Day 😞

 

The switch was working fine.  According to the discovery app it is running firmware 2.6.0.43.  Any thoughts?

  • Switched to Chrome and was able to get past this issue.  Thanks.

  • What browser are you using? 

    Be sure to clear out all browser caches and any saved PW profiles for the switch with in the browser.

    Try a different browser as well.

    Try a different PC to compare results.
