Needing to power PoE switch
I made a mistake and pucrhased a PoE switch, which, I would like to know can be powerered. I need it powered toi simply drive a ethernet hub/switch in an upsatirs bedroom FYI (etehernet froim wall to hub, then cable from hub to printer, and another from hub/switch to a powerered Wifi Extender.
Any ideas on how to solve my self-inflicted challenge, rather than buy a powered Netgear switch?
Thanks
kevinro
The GS105PE can be powered as a PoE PD (Powered Device) by a PoE switch.
The available power (resp. the power class of the PDs connected there again) on the GS105PE does dictate the PoE version required to power the GS105PE. FMI GS105PE: PoE troubleshooting
