Netgear prosafe switches storm control - can't enable

Hi, hopefully a simple question, but we have 2 newer s3300 switches, and 2 older GS748T switches. We are trying to enable storm control, and we configure it and then click the save button, but after navigating away from the page and coming back it then shows disabled. This happens with all 4 of our switches over both models, so I'm assuming we must be doing something wrong.

More info:

(on the s3300) we go to SECURITY tab, TRAFFIC CONTROL sub-tab, choose STORM CONTROL on the left, then change ingress to "Broadcast", status to "Enable", threshold to "5", Control action to "Trap", then we click the "save" button. At this point on the screen it shows it's enabled, and all the ports listed show that it is enabled with the settings we chose. If we navigate away and come back, or logoff and then back on again it shows that it is disabled on all ports. We are on the most recent firmware for the s3300 and on a much older firmware on the GS748T switches. But this happens on either. Maybe there is something else that must be turned on to make this work?

    realmx2,

    Welcome to the community! 🙂

I suggest you to activate image 2 on the S3300 switches.  Once image 2 has been activated, update it to the latest firmware version which is v6.6.4.28 then observe if the same problem will occur.  You can download S3300 Firmware v6.6.4.28 here.

What is the current firmware version of your switches?  Since you mentioned that it is on a much older firmware, I suggest you to update it to the latest firmware version then observe if the same problem will occur.

The S3300 switches (2 of them) are on the latest firmware, and this is happening on them. It's also happening on some older switches that have several year old firmware, so I keep thinking that I'm doing something wrong. Here's a video that shows the issue:
