Pro Safe GS724TPS Compatibility with Aruba Instant On AP 22

Greetings Netizens,

Is the Pro Safe GS724TPS POE compatible with Aruba Instant On AP 22 ?

I want to leverage the Pro Safe's POE feature.

    Welcome to the community! :)

The GS724TPS supports Active PoE on all 24 ports.  It supports the following PoE functions:

    1)  Smart Power Managed function handles the power of each port in the event of limited available power.
    2)  Supports the 24-Port PoE function as follows:
    - 15.4W for 12 ports
    - 8W for 24 ports

for a total of 192W for PoE. The GS724TPS, using data pairs (RJ-45 1, 2, 3 and 6 pin), provides power to the PD.

If the Aruba Instant On AP 22 supports Active PoE then it will work with the GS724TPS.

Let me share the article below:

Active or Passive PoE, That is the Question

Thank you so much. According to Aruba, it is an 802.3af class 3 device. Does this mean it will work with the GS724TPS.

      Electrical specifications

      SpecificationDescription
      Power
      • Power over Ethernet (POE): 802.3af (class 3)

      • Max power consumption (Worst-case): 10.1 W (PoE), 8.8 W (DC)

      • DC Power (12 V)

802.3af PSE does support any 802.3af PD - class 1...3, and class 0).
