Switch GS308T managed switch want connect to internet before router

internet passthrough usage i guess, plain L2. Granted, you could configure an additional port for data capturing. bigger challenge might be in most deployments, there is only one IP address available in what makes up the management subnet. What is the idea for such a config, what do you want to achieve?
