Switch VoIP configuration

There is no right or wrong.
With VoIP phones (configured tagged for a specific VoiceVLAN) and a data passthrough (commonly untagged) it might be easier having static config.
You are free to try and test - it's a few clicks, so why bother? Or do some manager expect going live the same hour the same day? You need to build on your own experience, and should be free to run some testing, too.

The VoIP router is going to have the VLAN for the VoIP phones. This is my first time configuring VoIP so I just wanted to make sure. I followed your guide and other websites, and they're all showing to use Auto-VoIP, I just got concerned because the Netgear support told me something different. Ofcourse, I'll test, I was just seeking some suggestions.
My goal is to go live the same day, but no rush, users still have our old phones with us till I figure out VoIP. I didn't have time to test becaus the VoIP equimment won't be installed till tomorrow.
So just to make sure, I CAN use Auto-VoIP, if it works!
I found this video on YouTube from Netgear France, but I wish they made one for English!
The VoIP went well. I had to configure some switches with Auto-VoIP enabled and some with just hard coding the voice VLAN. Thank you for all the help!
